Demagnetization Fault Detection and Location in PMSM Based on Correlation Coefficient of Branch Current Signals

To address such challenges as an uncertain number of demagnetization poles the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and cases in which fault cannot be located, this paper proposes a identification location methodology based on analysis stator current. First, influence irreversible magnets analytical model back electromotive force (Back-EMF) rotor single slot is analyzed. Moreover, considering topology motor, phase current branch Since currents diagnose partial faults PMSM with some topological structures, selected signal for localization fault. Secondly, diagnosis mode recognition are carried out through amplitude real-time harmonic components PMSM. A sample database established calculation normalization residual value healthy after one pole order. The threshold obtained by analyzing uniform Pearson correlation coefficient database. Then, between analyzed, determined calculated exceeding threshold. Finally, feasibility effectiveness proposed method verified finite element (FEA) results.
